Athletics
Holy Family Catholic School (HFCS) is a member of the Parochial Athletic League (PAL) along with other Catholic schools located in the Sacramento region. In addition to participating in the PAL, HFCS offers several intramural sports, school sponsored sports, and recreational sports for students in grades 1-8 throughout the year.
An athletic fee is charged per player per sport. This fee covers the cost of tournament fees, equipment, uniforms, and referees.
The boys may participate in the following sports:

The girls may participate in the following sports:

Bowling for 4th-8th graders is offered also and is a school-sponsored sport. Students are expected to work to their ability level and cooperate with their coaches.

Little Dribblers
The Little Dribbler Program is for students in grades 1-4. The overall purpose of this program is for students to have fun while developing basketball skills, teamwork, a sense of community spirit, and to foster physical fitness as part of the overall educational mission of the PAL. The PAL Little Dribbler Program is a non-competitive recreational program.
- Season: Winter
- Games: 1 time a week on Saturdays
- Practices: Typically 1 time a week on campus
- Teams: Boys and girls teams for each Grade 1st-4th
- Little Dribbler practices will start in mid-December.
Volleyball
- Season: Fall girls, Spring boys
- Games: typically 1 time a week at Holy Family (Girls JV plays on Thurs nights, Girls Varsity plays Wed nights)
- Game Admission: Adults $2.00, Students $1.00 (cash only)
- Practices: typically 2-3 times a week on campus
- Teams: Varsity, Junior Varsity and Rec teams for grades 5th-8th

Flag Football
- Season: Fall (boys)
- Games: typically 1 time a week (on Sundays), hosted at Jesuit High School;
- Admission: Adults $3.00, Students $2.00 (cash only)
- Practices: typically 2-3 times a week on campus
- Teams: one team for grades 6th-8th

Boy's PAL Game Schedule
Golf
- Golf is played in the Spring with the PAL league as well as the Middle School League of Sacramento.
- Matches: 1 time a week on a weekday (typically Tuesdays)
- Practices: typically 2 times a week Wednesday & Fridays off campus (at Haggin Oaks Golf Course)
- Teams: grades 5th-8th
Basketball
Bowling
- Season: Fall
- Games: Thursday nights at Fireside Lane (1901 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights).
- League play runs for 10 weeks
- Cost: Kinder-4th grades: $8 for 2 games.
- 5th-8th grades: $10 for 3 games
- Teams: Kinder through 8th grades
